May 13, 2025 – The Sheri and Les Biller Family Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of its annual Social Impact Theatre grant program, which provides production-specific support to theatres igniting positive changes in their communities through the programming they bring to life on stage.

“Now more than ever, we need theatre’s unique power to unite audiences around stories that shine a light on timely, relevant, and critical issues facing our communities today,” said Sheri Biller, Foundation President. “We look forward to receiving applications of productions that spark conversation, build empathy, and move us closer to a more inclusive and connected society.”

“We believe in theatres who partner with their communities to deepen the impact of their productions,” said Audrey Haberman, Foundation CEO. “We know that audiences are transformed and deeply moved by stories that lift up important perspectives, inspire us to action, and honor our humanity.”

The grant program supports theatres with 501(c)(3) status, at least two years of operating history, and annual revenue of at least $1,000,000. Social impact theatre grants can cover artistic, production, audience engagement, and community outreach expenses for one production that must stage a minimum of 15 performances.
