World Cancer Day: Why Early, Equitable Access to Whole-Person Supportive Care Should Be An Essential Part of Cancer Care

Today is World Cancer Day, a global initiative that works to raise awareness around the world, improving education about cancer, and spark change. It’s a chance for us all to come together to reimagine a world where we can prevent millions of cancer deaths – and where access to life-saving cancer treatment and care is equitable for all, no matter who you are or what zip code you call home.

Our Focus Areas

Economic Opportunity

We advance solutions that expand equitable access to economic opportunity. We focus on workforce development programs and career technical education. That includes founding CareerWork$®, a national workforce development nonprofit.

Supportive Care

We work to create more equitable access of care programs that specialize in addressing the clinical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and their loved ones facing cancer and other life-threatening diseases – a model called supportive care.

Social Impact Theatre

Live theatre has the power to spark dialogue and provide a lens to process the critical issues of our day. We support theatres in Western states that are igniting positive changes in their communities through their programming on the stage.
