The Sheri and Les Biller Family Foundation Launches Annual Social Impact Theatre Grant Program

Foundation Now Accepting Initial Applications for the Program’s 2026 Cycle

Seattle — May 14, 2026 —
The Sheri and Les Biller Family Foundation today announced the launch of its annual Social Impact Theatre Grant Program. The long-running grant program provides production-specific support to theatres igniting positive changes in their communities through the programming they bring to life on stage.

Theatres located in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon, or Washington State that meet the eligibility requirements are now welcome to access the initial application here by Wednesday, June 10, 2026, by 5:00 p.m. PDT.

“Today more than ever, we need live theatre’s unique power to unite audiences around stories that shine a light on the critical issues facing our communities,” said Sheri Biller, Co-Founder and President of The Sheri and Les Biller Family Foundation. “We look forward to learning more about productions across the western United States that spark conversation, build empathy, and connect communities.”

“We believe in theatres who partner with their communities to deepen the impact of their productions,” said Audrey Haberman, CEO of The Sheri and Les Biller Family Foundation. “We know that audiences are transformed and deeply moved by stories that lift up important perspectives, inspire us to action, and honor our humanity.”

The program supports theatres with 501(c)(3) status, at least two years of operating history, and annual revenue of at least $1,000,000. Social impact theatre grants can cover artistic, production, audience engagement, and community outreach expenses for one production that must stage a minimum of 15 performances.
